A product of her mother’s prayers, Sandy was once a troubled and rebellious teenager who barely completed high school. From the moment she gave her heart to God in the small upper room of a local church, her life dramatically changed. Sandy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Faulkner University and graduated with a 4.0 in her major of Human Resources. In a desire to serve the Lord, Sandy designed, developed, implemented and managed many types of church programs including nursery ministry, meals for the sick, and an outreach bus ministry for troubled youth. Sandy and her husband have been actively involved in youth, college and career and married ministry programs. She was co-leader and Praise and Worship leader for both college and career ministry as well as the church cell ministries. Sandy and husband Chris trained and developed leaders who formed their own home groups.
Although Sandy has been an elder and board member of women’s and married ministries she never forgot those troubled teen years and has a heart for hurting teens. She has lead Jr. High Youth Groups, Bible studies, and was a regular guest speaker at a local chapel program at a Christian school. She has also been a guest speaker for teacher training workshops, youth discipleship program. She developed and implemented a New Testament survey curriculum for a fifth grade Bible program. Sandy was a fifth grade classroom teacher as well as the drama teacher for the middle school age students where she wrote and directed the plays that God gave her. Before moving to Europe, she served on Women of Grace ministry board for four years where she helped plan events, retreats, and activities and spoke for a women’s ministry of 200 women.
Sandy appreciates the practicality of faith and humorous side of being a Christian. She loves to share how God changed her heart, mind and life. She is the founder and president of Word Wealth Ministries and currently resides in Texas with her husband and two children. She now spends her time working in her local church, writing, revising, publishing her books, plays and skits as well as greeting cards. Sandy is prayer support for Kidstand Minisries, a Joyce Meyer Ministry Partner, a member of several organizations: Concerned Women for America, The Fellowship of Christian Poets, A Virtuous Woman Ministry, Faith Writers, Christian Poetry Clubhouse, Presidental Prayer Team, World Prayer Team and Hollywood Prayer Network.
Sandy’s writing is a unique outflow from her times of prayer, Bible study and meditation. Her vision is to have God's presence shine through her and when she speaks that others hear His words of truth, love, grace and exhortation. Sandy cherishes life and believes that in every situation can be an opportunity for God to speak to his beloved creation, us.
